Mr. Frost Judged puppies and did an excellent job. Very efficient in ring procedures, but gave every dog a look and a chance. Very understanding with having such young pups and enjoyed showing to him and his comments.

standing outside the ring this weekend,I was told by a handler her bitch, who was overwieght, whose head was atrocious, who was so far forward in the front she bounced like a basketball-would get winners bitch. And she did. Did I mention she was a standard? Always good to know. Frost is DNS

This is a very fair judge. He really examines the dogs and seems to be a movement judge. He doesnt focus on the handlers and also took the time to tell me what he liked about my dog and what he looks for. I watched him judge other groups and he was fair across the board.

Mr. Frost is very quiet and thoughtful. He seems to truly enjoy dogs. I observed him at a show where he was not judging, sit and watch ALL of the owner-handled groups. I have not seen any other judges watch owner-handled groups when the regular groups are in the ring. I recently saw him at a show observing other rings when he was not in the ring judging himself. He chooses the dogs he likes and is not influenced by who is on the other end of the lead. He seems to especially appreciate more natural breeds with good movement.

Did exactly what I thought and what he has done every time a specific person (OH) is in his ring. Puts her up no matter what else is around. This time the bitch was fairly nice. Pleasant judge but does have his favorite people.

He is a far judge. He looks for a balanced dog in the bred ring. He is not looking to see who's at the end of the lead. Very nice and kind judge.

Likes to see a pretty face in my breed (a pretty face on the DOG--doesn't care about the handler's face!). Watches every entry all the way around the ring. Makes his decisions very fast and they're consistent. And, yes, he WILL check the bite AFTER he's gone over the dog's head. He'll come back to check the bite and ask the exhibitor to do it. And then he's likely to check the head AGAIN! I forgot to get my hands off my dog's head and he pushed my hands away :-) But he forgave me and we got a win. Update: showed to him again and we did well. Generally, he picked what I thought he would though there was one odd choice. BUT I think he has become VERY hard to follow in his directions. He often points without saying anything and sometimes doesn't say anything OR point if he thinks you already know what you're doing. Even if I know from having watched him earlier in other breeds, I still think you're supposed to wait for the JUDGE to signal to you. I was put off enough that I don't think I'll show to him again.

Mr. Frost is thoughtful and observant. My impression is that he chooses the dogs he wants to use, and doesn't care who is on the end of the lead. I notice, too, that his group judging on day 2 of a show weekend is clearly his own, and not "I'll just do what they did yesterday..." He will ask you to show the bite, but he wants to see it AFTER he's gone over the dog. I liked him, my dogs liked him, and I will absolutely show to him again whenever I can.

He was fair in his pick. He looked the dogs over took his time. He picked the best dogs. And he was very nice and kind to all the puppies.

Open dog with wild manners and tail, slutty acting unprofessional handler that let dog run way in front of her, given BOB over two ranked GCH's. Will not show to ever again. Dismissed another dog that reacted to his peculiar hat. Creepy.

He seemed like a decent judge, was very pleasant and did seem to pay attention to the dogs. I did not agree with his BOB pick, a horrible bitch who has an extremely wide rear and her movement shows this. He had better dogs he could have put up. Will show to him again though, he did seem to like my male a lot and I have a feeling that now that my male is a special he will put him up for the breed.

It was a pleasure to show to Mr. Frost. He was very thorough. While he was judging his eyes circle and he looks at the dogs more than once and observes them. He is very calm. He put a nice class bitch over specials and she deserved it. What a special moment. I hope I'll have another opportunity to show to Mr. Frost.

Mr Frost was a pleasure to show to and seemed to greatly enjoy what he was doing. He picked very similar types.

This man awarded a Group 1 to the hands-down worst Basset entry in attendance. The dog had a nice headpiece, but he had no wrap-around at all - his front legs came straight down from his shoulders (think coffee table) and he was actually pigeon-toed! Exhibitors and spectators alike were stunned in disbelief! There were a number of nice hounds at this show, but the Basset was not one of them!

Should not be judging juniors. Penalizes well groomed dogs as "not having been groomed by a junior." Dog was groomed by junior, put up a younger child with the same breed whose dog was groomed by a professional. Hello? Can you say inconsistent and downright nasty to children.

Have shown to him several times now and he looks for a nice, square Elkhound with movement appropriate to the breed. Wants to see expression. Pleasant and good hand on the dogs.

Gave my 6-month old puppy a 4-point major even though my pup was fighting the leash. My pup got the major the next day as well. Will show to him again.

Had heard good things about his judging so was looking forward to showing to him. Given what I'd heard (he puts up dogs based on their merit alone), I was a bit surprised by one of his awards (he kept looking at one of the entries...as in "he couldn't take his eyes off"), because gave the points to a handler and RW to the one he kept looking at, but it could be that there was something he saw that I didn't. Other than that one award, he seemed to like level toplines, smooth (correct) movement, alertness and he DEFINITELY wanted "attention" when he tried to get it. He gave WD to a puppy and he gave BOS to WB over one bitch special. He is not afraid to withhold Select if he doesn't feel the entry deserves it. He was very professional and judged fairly quickly. Even though I did not win, I felt all his awards were deserving and I will definitely show to him again.

Played it safe. Can't argue with picks. Seemed to place a lot of pieds in the classes

I have found him to always like well-conditioned dogs of any type (don't show fat, flabby dogs to him) and to be unafraid to give awards to relative newcomers. He is not swayed by a famous face behind the leash. His placements are consistent and true to his vision of type.

Gave WD & WB to the handler with the most dogs entered, then gave BOB to the same over the ninth ranked special in the country.
