She is very fragile and really unable to go over the dogs well. She does not have polite ring manner. All that being said, she was consistent in type. In the end could follow what she was picking based on coat color and silhouette. She also seemed to looking for movement. She was looking for a darker Keeshond with good contrast. Yes she was a little political. We did not win underneath her but our dog was not her type. But I can respect a judge who is consistent.

She does not like Chinese Cresteds. She was over heard a touch talking about how she had to judge them next and doesn't like to even touch them. That ere are no true hairless anymore etc... She didn't even watch a friend of mines down n back who was showing against me. Wouldn't say she's a handlers judge like other say as she put up some people I've never seen before in group.

Will put up handlers only, save your money!
May 24, 20151AnonymousPapillon
Not a clue. Managed to find the worst out of a fairly nice entry. Likes big and hairy. Might as well buy a Lotto ticket.

Likes exotic colors in poms and will consider them for majors. Was a bit forgiving of a novice with a misbehaving dog. Did put up handlers but would have to try a few other times before I could call that a pattern as the dogs put up had good type.

Seemed totally disinterested in her assignment. Made only a cursory exam of dogs, never smiled or engaged with exhibitors. Was not consistent in choices in the classes and was obvious about her choice for BOB (handler)

In four weekend outings with my puppy, who is almost finished from the puppy class and took a four-point major the day before, this is the first judge who didn't even give her a second look. Went with handlers all the way. Seemed disinterested in judging and waived her hands around without saying much to exhibitors. Will not show to her again.

HIRE A HANDLER! She was only interested in well know professional handlers and didn't care about how blatant she was about it. Nor did she care about the quality of the dogs. Save your money unless you hire handler. DNS!

DNS! Made no attempt to actually judge dogs, if she didn't recognize a face in a class she left them as they were.

I chose to not show to this judge and am so glad I did. She is still as clueless as ever. I did not see any consistency in her winners even though there were typey dogs in the ring. Her class choices in some breeds were terrible breed examples. A few times I had to pull up the AKC standard as I could not figure out what she was doing. She is often unpleasant and forgets that she has dogs waiting for her on the table or in the ring. I have her on my DNS list and she will remain there. Do not waste your money if you dog is typey or correct.

After reading the reviews on this judge I was dubious about entering this past weekend. Really should not have wasted my money. Thought they were having a handler reunion in her ring all day long. My puppy needs two singles to finishe and had both majors by seven months, (5 & 4,) variety wins over numerous top specials etc. Winners dog was a dog who has been unable to get his last major for the past three years and has never defeated my dog. Hired a big name handler and he finished today. Pretty flagrant. Owner handlers don't waste your money!

Puts up her usual suspects, handlers in the group ring. Breed level she finds a good dog, if faces are lacking. I have won under her at the breed level, walked at the group level.

Good experience. Liked my class bitch and put my special up over two pro handled specials I'm an O/B/H and had not shown to her before. She was looking at the right end of the lead. I really appreciate that!

One of the very worst ring experiences we have ever had - speaking for all entered except her BOB handler whom she knows. She was rude and rushed us, rolled her eyes if we werent fast enough for her, didnt look at the dogs at all while moving them, next to no exam at all, barely touching them and then with overly exaggerated drama grabbing wet wipes to wipe off her hands - all the dogs except the BOB winner were freshly bathed and well groomed. She was overheard making smart comments to her ring steward about us during dog/handler changes. She seemed to be offended if anyone spoke outloud while in her ring - as in talking to a baby puppy its first time in the ring to encourage or calm - and she was rough with the puppies. Spoke with show chair and he said she came to the show that morning with a nasty attitude and kept it going all day long. Will never give her an entry ever again. Her BOB was a friend with a dog who had a large filthy looking hot spot, was grossly overweight, unbathed and oversized. Same dog was placed in her group. DNS

Did what was safe, open dog ( only dog and got the crossover ) and only open bitch. I was not showing so I can say there were some very nice bitches that should have won. As a provisional needs to learn our breed standard much better. Will think carefully before showing to her.

Only interested in getting breeds in and out of the ring. Never neen so rushed and so little consideration given to individual dog/bitch. And yes, got Best of Bitches but still wouldn't show to her again.
May 23, 20111RocklandChows
Nice ring procedures, needs to look at the std, likes smooths, but cannot tell the difference between a smooth and a rough out of coat, based on her questions. Pleasent enough, but I probably will not pay the entry fee again.

I think she did a reasonable job, and best of all, she showed no signs of caring about the human end of the lead, at least at the breed level.

One of my favorite judges....she really understands breed type and applies it consistantly! She is a judge I will travel to show to!
Sep 25, 20081anonymousSchipperke
Very political. Gave BOB to dog that lacked both type and soundness over some very nice dogs to someone she obviously knew.
Jan 15, 20082Terry RothellToy BreedsExpert!
She appeared to really know her standards as they applied to type only and she threw all else out the window when making her placments. Real upright carriage really excited her and I think she got caught up enjoying that "picture" and didn't notice soundness or actual gait as long as the carriage was there. I haven't seen her judge in our area before but I will admit she didn't miss placing any of the "faces" so obviously well placed or big advertising budgets got the names/faces etched in her mind.

Very political. Put up handlers on all dogs even the worst on the class. Don't waste your your money
